Game Preview: LA Lakers vs. Sacramento Kings

April 1, 2018 0 By Mike Dixon

The Los Angeles Lakers host Sacramento on Sunday, looking to build on their 33-42 mark against the 24-53 Kings in NBA betting action at STAPLES Center.

The Los Angeles Lakers are 33-42 so far on the NBA season, and 39-36 ATS vs the spread betting line. The Sacramento Kings, meanwhile, are 24-53 and 35-38-4 ATS. OVER/UNDER bettors have seen Los Angeles go 39-35-1 and the Kings go 39-37-1 on the total.

The game also pits Los Angeles’ No. 10-ranked offense averaging 108.53 PPG, against a Sacramento Kings defense that ranks No. 16 at 106.79 PPG. The Los Angeles Lakers field goal percentage has averaged 46.18% so far, more than the Sacramento Kings shooters have achieved on the year, 45.24% per game.

Notes and injuries

The Kings got 19 points from Buddy Hield, but it was Golden State that prevailed in a 112-96 final on Saturday at Golden 1 Center.

The Lakers wasted a 27-point performance from Kyle Kuzma as Milwaukee ran past them 124-122 on Friday at STAPLES Center.

The injury bug has not been kind to the Lakers and just as healthy bodies started coming back, a few more were added to the injury report. Brandon Ingram (concussion) and Isaiah Thomas (hip) will be sidelined for Sunday’s action, while Lonzo Ball (knee) is doubtful to play.

I like the Lakers at home to cover and beat the Kings. Not an April Fools joke.
