The Antonio Brown saga has finally came to a close, as the Raiders acquired Brown from the Pittsburg Steelers in exchange for a 2019 third-round and fifth-round pick. Also, the Raiders and Brown have reached a new contract agreement worth three-years for $50.125 million ($30.125 million guaranteed). This makes Brown the highest paid wide receiver in the NFL, and he may earn up to an additional 4 million based off the incentives in his contract.

Brown will be an immediate impact on the Raiders offense, and slot right into the WR 1 role for Gruden’s offense. Many reports speculated that the Raiders would have to send one of their four top 35 draft picks to acquire the highly talented wide receiver. Not so much, as Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock pulled off their first block buster trade together and kept all their top four draft picks.
Gruden has been a big fan of Brown’s work ethic and how he goes about his business, as he stated during last season.

Brown’s time in Pittsburg came to a messy end, with all kinds of conflict. Brown’s relationship with his former quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger hit a massive fall-out in week 17 and continued on through the offseason. Brown has requested to be traded since the regular season has come to a closure.
The future hall of famer put up monster numbers once agin during his 2018 campaign. As a member of the Steelers, Brown caught 104 passes for 1,297-yards and a league high 15 touchdowns. Brown has now totalled 100 receptions or more and at least 1,200 for the last six consecutive seasons. Brown has been selected to seven pro bowls and named to the all-pro team four times.
