Liz Cambage lauds Aces Organization; city of Las Vegas in Introductory Press Conference

Las Vegas, NV –  The newest must-see attraction to hit the Las Vegas strip was officially unveiled Monday afternoon, as the Las Vegas Aces’ front office brass held a media and press gathering to officially introduce superstar center Liz Cambage to the Las Vegas market.

In their introductory comments Head Coach Bill Laimbeer-who also happens to be President of Basketball Operations- General Manager Dan Padover, and the 27-year-old Cambage herself all went to great lengths to note how completing this deal was a long, arduous process that had a lot of stops and starts, but ultimately the long negotiating process ended up with all concerned parties pleased, as the Aces finally got the coveted game-changing (she scored a league-high 28 points per game last year as a member of the Dallas Wings) power player they needed, and Cambage looks to have finally landed in a suitable market where she is unquestionably wanted.

“We acquired one of the best, if not the best player in the world” -Bill Laimbeer on acquiring Liz Cambage

“We acquired one of the best, if not the best player in world, and it fits a need that we had- we needed a big power player on the inside. The most important thing about Liz, she’s a smart basketball player; she knows the game, she knows how to involve her teammates. She’s been double and triple-teamed her whole life, so she knows how to involve her teammates. One thing Liz told me on the phone, she says ‘Yo coach, I can lead if you need me to.’ That’s pretty special.” -Aces’ Head Coach Bill Laimbeer

“I’m very excited to be here. This city is insane. It’s so amazing, it’s so much fun, already. But I’m ready to get focussed and get out there with the girls.” -Liz Cambage
