More Nationally Televised Games For The Aces

Thanks to the WNBA’s new TV contract there will now be 16 nationally televised games. That’s three more games than last year’s 13. That means more coverage of the Las Vegas Aces. They’ll be reaping the benefits of this expansion with 3 games for the world to see instead of 1 like last year.

Friday, May 31 10 PM ET–Las Vegas @ Phoenix – ESPN2

Mark your calendars for a can’t miss game for your favorite Las Vegas team. The Aces take on the Mercury for the second game of their young season. Circle this matchup on your calendar, it’s bound to be fun with the All-star talent on both rosters.
The Aces struggled against Phoenix last season with a 1–3 record. This season looks to be different as Las Vegas gains more experience and the age bug creeps ever closer for the Mercury. We’ll watch another battle against defensive stalwart Brittney Griner and reigning ROTY Aja Wilson. In the backcourt, WNBA legend Diana Taurasi and all-star shooting guard, Kayla McBride square off. Are you excited yet?

Tuesday, July 23 10 PM ET–Las Vegas @ Seattle – ESPN2

In this late-night show, we’ll see the Aces play against WNBA champion Seattle Storm. This game should have the feel of a heavyweight champ facing off against a promising upstart. Neither team will pull any punches and go for the knockout early and often. The storm’s experience will have its hands full matching up against the Aces youthful team. This has “game of the year” potential written all over it. Reserve the date, to watch the Aces lay a trump card.

Thursday, August 1 10 PM ET–Las Vegas @ Los Angeles – ESPN2

Gather around for one of the more entertaining matchups in the western conference. Sin City and the city of angels come together to show the old guard how the new guard handles business. Aug. 1st can hold two paths for the Aces: an easy path to the postseason or a last minute playoff push.
Las Vegas loss two of its three games against the Sparks last season and need to change that to move up in the western standings. They’ll try to take LA down and solidify a playoff spot. This will be Las Vegas’ last chance to show the nation what they can look forward to it in the postseason.
