The Las Vegas Lights FC (9-11-8) played the Phoenix Rising Football Club (20-2-5) in front of 5,101 Boisterous Fans at Cashman Field . The Phoenix Rising winners of 18 Straight Games including the last 8 away games came out on top 1-0.
The Las Vegas Lights had some close chances but could not find the back of the net. Twice in the 1st Half the Lights had scorching shots go just wide of the Goal Posts by less than a foot each time. All Season Long that has been their biggest deficiency, the ability to shoot on the net and force the Goaltender to make a save. Last night it bit them as they had many good scoring chances and played well as a team but could not capitalize on their opportunities.
The Phoenix Rising rose to the occasion in the 62nd Minute when Adam Jahn scored the Winning and lone Goal of the game. On Saturday September 14th at 730pm the Las Vegas Lights play at home in Cashman Field vs Fresno FC. Come out and support the Lights as they could use a huge backing to help lift them out of the funk that has them (2-5-3) in their last 10 Games.
