Raiders future shines bright for Las Vegas move

The Raiders have their sights set on Las Vegas for the start of the 2020 season. Along with relocating to Las Vegas, the Raiders have constructed their team to excel for Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock’s long-term plan.

The Raiders were criticized massively across the league when Gruden traded his all-pro defensive line end, Kahlil Mack after the two sides couldn’t find common ground on a new contract. However, the Raiders received a haul of draft picks, setting them up to have a quality young core for the foreseeable future.

This offseason the Raiders were arguably the busiest team in the NFL, as they had three first-round selections and made some massive changes to the roster during the free-agency period. It was apparent, last season’s roster was not up to par in order to compete, but with the change of the roster, it appears the Raiders are destined for success in 2019 and beyond.

Gaining three first-round playmakers and signing high-level free agents to become a member of the Raiders foundation while they move to Las Vegas is something the franchise looks to build on. Their highly anticipated move will have a lot of build up leading up to it, and with the roster they’ve constructed, it certainly shows why all the hype is circulating the team.

Raiders young core who looks to be foundation pieces during their move to Las Vegas:

-Clelin Ferrell (DE)

-Josh Jacobs (RB)

-Jonathan Abram (S)

-Trayvon Mullen (CB)

-Maurice Hurst (DT)

-Arden Key (DE)

Along with the group of veterans who will make the move to the Sin City:

-Antonio Brown (WR)

-Trent Brown (RT)

-Lamarcus Joyner (S/CB)

-Tyrell Williams (WR)

Marc Davis and the Raiders organization will also be a host to the NFL draft prior to the 2020 season. The draft serves as one of the biggest events for the NFL every year, and looks like it’ll be a nice welcome party to the city of Las Vegas in 2020.
