The Raiders stay aggressive with the heavy spending this offseason, as they sign safety Lamarcus Joyner to a four-year contract. Joyner comes from the Los Angeles Rams, where he was franchise tagged last season.

Joyner will join a depleted secondary in Oakland, who can desperately use a speedy playmaker. He will play alongside Karl Joseph as the two starting safeties. Joyner started 27 games over the last two-years with the Rams, where he had four interceptions, 12 passes defended and 127 tackles.
This helps Paul Guenther’s defense, by adding a versatile defender who can cover, play inside the box and help in the run game. Joyner is still just 28-years old and will help the young secondary of Karl Joseph, Gareon Conley, Daryl Worley and Nick Nelson.
